Nurturing Nature, Preserving Heritage:
World Environment Day at HRH Group of Hotels

World Environment Day, observed every year on June 5, is the United Nations' flagship initiative to encourage global awareness and action for the protection of our environment. It serves as a powerful reminder that safeguarding nature is a shared responsibility and that every individual and organization has a role to play in building a more sustainable future for generations to come. In celebration of this global movement, the HRH Group of Hotels reaffirmed its enduring commitment to environmental stewardship through a series of green initiatives across its heritage properties.

On 5th June 2026, the teams at Gajner Palace and Karni Bhawan Palace, Bikaner, came together for a large-scale plantation and environmental conservation drive. Staff and leadership joined hands to plant native saplings, enriching the historic landscapes that have long been an integral part of these magnificent heritage estates. The initiative was complemented by campus clean-up activities, reinforcing the importance of maintaining clean, healthy and sustainable surroundings.

For the HRH Group, sustainability extends beyond a single day of observance. It is a philosophy woven into the fabric of its operations—balancing the preservation of Rajasthan's rich heritage with responsible environmental practices. By nurturing green spaces, conserving natural resources and fostering environmental awareness, the Group continues to inspire guests, employees and local communities to become active custodians of the planet. Through meaningful initiatives such as these, the HRH Group of Hotels continues to demonstrate that true luxury lies not only in preserving history but also in protecting the natural world that surrounds it, ensuring that both heritage and nature flourish together for generations to come.

Uncompromising Standards: HRH Group Marks World Food Safety Day Excellence Begins with Safety

World Food Safety Day, observed annually on 7th June, highlights the critical role of safe food in protecting public health and promoting sustainable development. Led by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the day serves as a global reminder that food safety is a shared responsibility—from sourcing and preparation to service—ensuring that every meal is safe, nutritious and of the highest quality.

In observance of World Food Safety Day 2026, the HRH Group of Hotels reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to culinary excellence and guest well-being through comprehensive food safety awareness and training programmes across its distinguished heritage properties.

Interactive training sessions and operational briefings were conducted at Shiv Niwas Palace and Jagmandir Island Palace in Udaipur, as well as Gajner Palace and Karni Bhawan Palace in Bikaner. Bringing together chefs, kitchen brigades, service associates and stewarding teams, the initiative reinforced the highest standards of hygiene, food handling and operational excellence that define the Group's legacy of royal hospitality.

The sessions focused on strengthening compliance with internationally recognized HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) protocols, ensuring systematic risk management throughout the food preparation journey-from procurement to the guest's table. Team members were also refreshed on critical practices including precise temperature control for food storage, prevention of cross contamination, stringent sanitation procedures, personal hygiene and meticulous hand washing protocols, all of which are fundamental to delivering safe and exceptional dining experiences.
