Conference "The Increased Automation & Technology focus in Hospitality Industry: demands & new skill sets"

The 3rd Hotelier India BEAMS 2018 edition (Building, Electrical, Air-conditioning, Maintenance & Safety) Powered by Hotel Chief Engineers Association – AWESOME organised a full day conference with a keen focus on energy conservation and technology. On Technology the panel discussion was done on key aspects i.e. increased automation and technology focus in hospitality industry where the panellist discussed about new technology trends like IOT (Internet of Things), AI (Artificial intelligence), Robotics, Wireless communications, Machine learning, Mobility and most important the role of Technology as a growth engine in industry. The panel also discussed how the technology focus will demand new skill sets to adopt and maintain the technology; which is also a big challenge in industry. Attended by the Top level Tech executives from India's leading hotels and commercial complexes, multiplexes, malls and hospitals shared their experiences and best practices. As a panellist Dr. Vijay Choudhary, CTO, HRH Group of Hotels attended and represented the group. Other members in the panel included Mr. Vinayak Sane MD & Principal Consultant Elmark Engineers; Arch. Vivek Kishore, Principal Architect Finer Edge; Mr. Sanjay Bobhate, Sr. GM - Operations & Maintenance, Antilia (Reliance Industries); Mr.Ashwin Inamdar, General Manager – West, Honeywell Building Solutions Conference was moderated by Mr Ravish Jhala, IT expert.

Language Training Program

The HR Department of HRH Group of Hotels conducted a Language Training session with working vocabulary in three languages French, Telugu and Tamil for the Operation Employees from 24th September 2018 to 8th October 2018. The programme was conducted in association with ICICI Rural Self Employment Training institute, Udaipur.

32 employees from Fateh Prakash Palace, Shiv Niwas Palace, Jagmandir Island Palace, Garden Hotel and Shikarbadi Hotel took part in the session. Mr. Rajendra Singh and Ms. Sheela Das were the instructors for the programe.

ICICI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Udaipur is established under the aegis of Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India and sponsored by ICICI Bank to promote entrepreneurship in rural areas by imparting free skill development trainings among the rural youth. Since March 2011 ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth is strengthening skill development programme in Udaipur, which has been recognized by MoRD as top performing RSETI in the country.

Lake Palace Hotels and Motels Private Limited provided financial assistance to support the 'Widow Care Project' at Udaipur, Rajasthan for the year 2018-19. This project is running since 2012 under the aegis of Swami Vivekanand Sewa Nyas, Udaipur.
